You don’t believe in magic.
But there’s no denying Donna Halloran has a few tricks up her sleeve: Fabricadabra, her line of vibrant pillows, can single-handedly transform a space in the blink of an eye.
Her timeless designs use traditional patterns in eye-popping colors. There are Uzbekistani ikats in turquoise and lime, embroidered Turkish suzanis, Balinese batiks, groovy felted wools from Nepal, and zebra prints from the Andes.
Halloran contracts international cooperatives to hand-weave the covers in nontoxic materials using natural dyes and verifies that the artisans earn fair wages, all while keeping prices low.
And that’s no illusion.
